Environmental Driller

Location: Kansas City, MO; Atlanta, GA; Columbus, OH; Minneapolis, MN

Dakota Technologies, an environmental service company providing integrated site-specific sampling and analytical services, is looking for a motivated individual to join our field service team. Responsibilities include working with our Geoprobe®/direct push drilling and off-road field equipment, and assisting with our high-resolution site characterization (subsurface probing) tools.

Fieldwork includes direct push soil gas, soil core, and groundwater sample collection; augering & monitoring well installation; and direct sensing activities. Individual needs to work well with a team. Ability to operate mechanical and some electrical equipment is required. Work will be outdoors in all weather conditions. Heavy lifting is to be expected. Out of town and overnight travel required. 40-hr OSHA Hazwoper training is a plus, or training provided.

Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, CDL a plus. Must pass employer-paid, pre-employment physical/drug screening.

Field Scientists

Dakota has full time openings for highly motivated individuals to work with our direct push, UVOST and TarGOST technologies. These positions are available in the following Dakota service locations:

  • New Hope, Minnesota
  • Charleston, South Carolina
  • Columbus, Ohio
  • Kansas City, Missouri

Fieldwork includes:

  • Operation of UVOST, TarGOST and other direct sensing technologies. Training will be provided.

  • Direct push soil coring, soil gas, and groundwater sample collection

  • Working outdoors in various weather conditions is to be expected

The successful candidate will meet the following requirements:

  • Ability to work well in a team

  • Ability to operate mechanical equipment and vehicles is required

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record

  • Must have the ability to travel year round on a per job basis to serve our national market

  • Ability to occasionally lift 75 lbs.

  • Must pass employer-paid, pre-employment physical/drug screening
