Dakota has developed the Tar-specific Green Optical Screening Tool or TarGOST®. TarGOST® is a specialized version of UVOST® that was developed exclusively for detection of coal tars, creosotes, heavy crudes, and tank bottoms. The TarGOST® system is designed specifically to overcome the low signal levels or often-severe non-monotonic response observed on coal tars and creosotes with current UV-based fluorescence systems.
Dakota provides the capability to view TarGOST®/UVOST®/ROST site characterization data in 3D or 2D in static or dynamic format with unparalleled resolution. Dakota can also overlay the site with aerial photographs or building CAD models over GIS terrain data to provide an accurate overall picture of the site with relevant subsurface features.
The Dart system is designed to quickly and inexpensively screen for polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in sediments and similar soft soils, where LIF, traditional soil boring, and other mechanized sampling are difficult, if not impossible.
